baba yaga hut progress (in progress)

well this is certainly one of our most ambitious undertakings yet. here’s claudia, faith and béla making a pile of skulls.


using some new “extra” space to make big chicken legs and start weaving the outer covering of the hut, the kids also learned to play scrabble.


christine helped weave. it’s nice when people “get” that crafts are kind of just repetitive, sometimes grueling, and not exactly full of entertainment value in and of themselves. this was hard work and a good time.


it may look a little mundane now but we think it’s going to be pretty fabulous! you’ll see. there’s a lot we aren’t showing yet…
